(All about Cattle Mutilation)

Cattle mutilation has been in the news and other media for a few years. Even cartoons like South Park have made reference to the phenomenon.  There was a 1982 movie called “Endangered Species” in which a New York ex-cop and an attractive female sheriff who fall in love while investigating a string of mysterious cattle mutilations in a small Colorado town. In addition to fiction, there are also countless documentary and YouTube clips that cover this topic.

There is no definitive answer as to when cattle mutilation first started or when there was first wide publicity, however as far as the general public starting to be more aware of these incidents, it started back in the 1960’s. Since that time, many reports have surfaced throughout North America (predominantly in the United States, but some in Mexico and a few in Canada). The reports are of animals, mostly bovine, getting slaughtered in unusual and disturbing ways. Organs are frequently discovered missing from the carcass and significant amounts of blood are unaccounted for.
