A Market for Murder
Tope Rebecca
Karen Slocombe isn’t sure why she visited the supermarket that day
– as a member of the Food Chain Group and a stallholder at local
farmers’ markets, SuperFare is a place she would normally avoid. Luckily
for Karen, she leaves moments before a bomb explodes, destroying the
front of the store.
Only a few days later, whilst manning her
stall at Bradbourne Farmers’ Market, Karen finds herself in the midst of
another horrific crime. Peter Grafton, a fellow stallholder, is
murdered in front of her. Despite the attack taking place in a busy town
center, no one saw anything suspicious and the motive appears to be a
complete mystery. When friends from the Food Chain Group start warning
Karen not to tell the police certain details, her suspicions are
instantly aroused. Could the two events be linked? And are Karen’s
friends involved?
