Beginning OpenOffice 3: From Novice to Professional
Andy Channelle
This has to be the worst book I have ever seen on a software product or suite. I think I can speak with a certain amount of authority, having been an editor/writer for six years at a major computer company, responsible for a 300+ page document that was updated quarterly. All I wanted was basic information on the word processor and spread sheet; the book proved to be absolutely useless. Thinking that perhaps I was getting senile, I did a quick calibration of my mental process by a brief perusal of a somewhat aged competitor: "Office 98 Bible". This confirmed my belief that "Beginning Office 3" is useless.
